Discussion: Cherry Hill Nature Preserve Holiday Practice Streamers Course

I've set a 10CP 3km Holiday Practice Course at the Cherry Hill Nature Preserve in Superior Twp, MI. It's at Cherry Hill Rd, 1.75 miles West of Prospect Rd. Park on the north side of the road in the pull offs, start/finish at the boulder just past the trailhead info kiosk. Difficulty is orange/green/red. Pink streamers, which are numbered. All are set at chest or head level to avoid deer thinking they are treats! Very dry and runnable, except where I buried a few! Game trails are your friend :)

I've also created a 5k practice course at Huron Meadows using the permanent course... but at 1:24000 as training for Frozen Beaver. Hit me up if you want a copy.

30 mins is ambitious, even without mistakes, unless you are half my size. :)

I believe it can be done. Had about 5 min worth of error today.

Well, I cracked sub 30 with lots of "cheating"... well and I did set the course lol!
Thanks for pushing me to push myself, I might have a sub 29 in me but that's about it. I know others who can run trail faster than me can probably even more maybe?

So I'll do this, I'll up the challenge to $25 to anyone who can pull a sub 27:30 time. Which I think is very doable as the current best splits is a 27:56!

Last week for this challenge, expect streamers to be pulled 12/26

I really wanted to do it again. but I think the snow would have definitely made it slower. looking forward to more streamers in the future! (and the updated map i hear your working on...)

I had hoped to get out...I could pick up the streamers next week if you'd like.

You can work it out with Ati/Jen Tislerics if you are so inclined, they are pulling for me 12/26.
