What about the M80+? There has to be a hope for Dave in retirement

Shep:
Thanks coach (except for the hint about retiring :P)...

Surely you mean Kawasaki dirt bikes? A Ninja wouldn't get you very far on single track.

We already have dirt bikes at most of our MTBO and foot events. Thinking of getting one of these to deal with them.

Sorry simmo bit of an old joke... I used to say there's no point banning gps watches in wre races because they're no use (in an elite race) - it makes just as much sense to ban Kawasaki Ninjas.

Being serious for a second the iof have finally seen sense and changed that rule - gps watches (and presumably Kawasaki Ninjas) are now allowed :)

I wonder if IOF allows Adlers?

As far as I know there's no IOF (or OA) rule against the carriage of firearms. Readers from Orienteering USA may be able to advise whether they're compulsory at events in Alabama (where the World Games are in 2021).

Shep:
not just compulsory but open carry is mandatory.

Haha Shep, I actually thought you were referring to Kay saying that e-bikes would be allowed in low-level MTBO events.

Shep:
I was! But extrapolated from ebikes to motorbikes ;)

Does low level mean <500m? That means all of Perth would be included.

What is a high level MTBO event? I didn't know they existed

Above the treeline.

Craney:
All MTBO events are high level in the sense that all of the interesting detail in proper orienteering has been removed.

Hahaha genius.
