I forget, what is the actual injury with your butt? Is it a tendon thing, or a back thing? Trying to think if I have any wisdom to share from a decade of butt pain...

Well, one is never sure if the cause is something where the pain is or something some distance away.

All I know is the area where the main butt muscles are hurts when I run (after a couple of minutes) or when I hike uphill (again, after a couple of minutes) or once in a while but not often when I bike (I think only when I stand up, and I don't do that for more then a minute at a time), but is fine the rest of the time.

Doesn't hurt sitting or sleeping or walking or driving. No pain or numbness in the legs. But when it hurts, it hurts a lot.

Not at all clear what is causing it...
