Yes it measures the distance straight line from the location in your profile to the start location. We are exploring driving distance which would be a better representation on distance but have to balance some performance concerns around that. Hoping it's something we can implement.

No worries, I just thought being less than half the distance was a significant difference. I could probably cut some distance off that by taking Warton & Jandakot Rds but after my near encounter at the roundabout today, cycle paths are safer.

Eventor also does a straight line distance if you just look at the page with the arena location on it but if you click on the Google directions, it then goes to driving distance. I wonder if it's something you can use given you're using Google Maps anyway.

Hmm....no, it's doing [profile-location] to....the boundary of the course's suburb?

I've got my actual address in my profile, but the distance to the Byford course is listed as 2km (actual 3.5), and Armadale is listed as 5km (actual 9.1).

Interesting, I'll dig deeper either way there is improvement to occur there
