I think unpacking is the fun part, but I like organizing stuff. And we were pretty lucky that stuff didn't get broken too often, although I've heard horror stories. What plagued us the most with the frequent moves was remembering where something was 2+ houses ago, but not being able to find it at our current place!

I kinda like the organizing part as I see my own logic play out in placement of things.

I lied about Sunday being that day we finish unpacking kitchen items, though, as I only finally got shelf liner where I wanted it yesterday, and there are lots of individually wrapped items to unroll. ;-) I've run two dishwasher loads so far for plates and utensils (I'm not typically germophobic but we had other people wrap/pack the kitchen items). Maybe today?

@Tori, I can imagine that would be anyone's problem! I've only found one broken item so far...we received a melamine serving set with a rectangular tray and three dishes that fit on the tray as a wedding present. No biggie as I use them under plants or soap/dish detergent and not for serving As they're a bit discolored from the sun.

May the rest of your unwrapping/washing/organizing continue to be successful! Can't wait to do a bit of our own, closing on a cabin this week. With original 1970s furnishings, so definitely some sorting and organizing to come before we can even unwrap our own stuff. But it always feels good to get settled. Enjoy that!
