| Sergey: | Eric, good runs both days!
Your adaptability to terrain and map are amaizing! Speaking about map, what can you say? Some things were very distructing for me personally: small dot objects and rock objects printed at 1:15000 scale and contour lines turning almost black in dark green. Plus a small inconvenience to have magnetic lines each 300m instead of 250m :) Small dot symbols were most distructing for me - even using my big magnifying glass I couldn't see them clearly while running. Speaking about contour lines turning black in dark green I had at least one mistake second day - going from 11 to 12 I mistook contour line in the green above #11 for a ride and was distracted by not finding its intersection with trail. I lost may be 1/2 minute but in some other situation it could be more serious. And I am not speaking about course planning :) I totally agree with you that this terrain warrants at least couple long and super long legs per course. It reminded me in places Switzerland. And, for the competition sake, I don't think it is good practice to hide controls behind 0.3m boulders! We suffer enough going between controls to not see it from couple meters :) Can we somehow summarize and deliver our opinions to team trials organizers? This is nice terrain and map but need to be treated properly! |

Your adaptability to terrain and map are amaizing! Thanks! Speaking about map, what can you say? I agree with you on all points. However, the contours in the green did not bother me. It's preferable to having the contours not get darker in the green and instead become hard to see, but I did notice that they look a bit too dark. |

| feet: | I agree: this is an amazingly non-typical area for North America; a very interesting map to look at and I could see how it would be a big surprise to turn it over at the start and see that. I'd add that to an outsider who wasn't there, the course setting looked a bit odd. Even allowing for the aversion to long legs, still a few legs are very weird (dog-legs?!). Was there a course consultant? |

| j-man: | The course setting was a big disappointment, especially on the second day. Still, I can guess why they did what they did--it wasn't bad per se, but could have been so much better. Some control placements, however, on day 2 especially, were stupid. |

| Sergey: | Agree on couple dog legs and bingo controls both days!
For team trials we need to make sure that someone with course setting expertize would consult BAOC. Eric W.? This is great terrain and map if used properly. |
