from the outside, this looks like real good endurance, doesn't it? Less than double your 5k time? btw, you mentioned Orlyn a while back, have you heard anything about him. Wonder how his running is going.
Well I'm reaping some benefit from following Charlie's advice, and doing some short, fast stuff occasionally. More to come.
I spoke with Orlyn a couple of weeks ago. He's having a few problems with his eyesight, so hasn't been running much. Which is unfortunate. Because as you probably remember, he was a very gifted runner...for such a short guy! :-)
I think I might have seen him at a meet, but never really spoke with him. But his run results were enough to inspire me. Sorry to hear about his difficulty. I saw recently in the runners tabloid that a blind person set a record in the marathon. (w/ guide) Maybe he can find a course that is predictable (such as a track, though that may be anathema to him)
