Have ski boots become shorter over the years? I haven't downhill skied in a long time but I think they were mid-shin back then. I know all my old downhill gear would probably be condemned now.

I would go for some taller boots with moderate progressive flex... not too stiff though. It seems a lot of the newer AT boots are going towards the shorter end of the spectrum.

I don't have PROCLINEs at the moment, just my alpine ski boots. It just feels as though they twist around on me when I ski and it's not as though I could get them any tighter.
