= respect for the views of others
Yes, you can say what you want, especially in your log, but you might get an unwanted reaction.
J-J may have been pulling your leg with his comment about the cover.
In any case, those who are upset about having to "be PC" aren't thinking from the other person's point of view. I find it odd that things I learned in Sunday School (tolerance, Golden Rule) are barely mentioned these days...it's all about "why do we have to be 'politically correct'?" (Or as I see it, "why can't we make fun of people like we used to?")
Also, I thought your injury was elsewhere.
Well I never worry about being PC. Guess that's obvious. But I definitely respect the views of others. Just as I believe that there are no 'bad' smells...just interesting odors.
BTW that thread is a bit disrespectful of all the time (presumably unpaid) you, Donna, and countless others devote to our sport. While I might encourage more shots of Evalin and her peers, and fewer of dedicated but crusty old guys, I appreciate your efforts on all our behalf. What would any of us do without the OUSA website and O/NA? Thank you. As long as you're doing the work, I say you have the right to tell it as you see it.
Thanks for the thanks. I get paid a stipend (<$600/year) for staying on top of things on the website month after month; I'd do it for nothing but the previous webmaster received that amount and I was in favor of keeping it in the budget to sweeten the deal for my potential replacement when that time comes...I didn't realize I'd still be doing it 10+ years down the road (I donate it back at year end.)
I do what I can; redesigning the site to make it mobile friendly is not in my skill set. If you ever can't find anything you're looking for, ask me. I know the site can be confusing but I can usually find what I'm looking for.
