Leaving work, I parked in the LDS lot (a "default stop") around 2pm for lunch & newspaper read. Saw one skier with a green top and a fair sprinkling of cornstalks. You passed by
but 9 months later:-).
First time I've skied there, would have been great to have that 45 years ago when I was skiing at Jr HS and HS level. The totally untouched sections of the cornfield were a little too soft, but there were a couple traces where they'd groomed prior to the latest snow fall - so 2-3" of fresh over firm base.
It's a wonderful feeling to seem like you're cruising as fast as when you were a kid (when you were really fast). Goal is to reach that feeling through all (or most) of the inclines of Gunstock. A ways to go yet.
A nice late afternoon to early evening moving meditation - sun light is fading, your body is keeping up with your spirit - all is good with the world.
