Have I heard correctly that you are going to Harriman sometime in the near future? Which days? Want some training buddies?

Yeah, I am planning on it. And I'd love some training partners. My flight leaves from JFK on the 8th at 6 p.m. So, I was hoping to get up there on the 5th and do courses til the 8th (in the morning, lunch, and then hop on the aeroplane).

I'm still working everything out, but I'll make all the details public in the next few days.

It is beautiful here right now - 50 degrees today! Colder tomorrow, though. But hardly any snow sticking around. (Jon and I are up working on Harriman maps for the cadets this spring).

Hey Tori!

It'd be sweet if you guys could come out also.

Tentative plan is

Jan 5th
#1 WOC Short Distance at Polebrook
#2 O-Intervals at Surebridge

Jan 6th
#1 WOC Long Distance at Surebridge
Maybe a #2...annnnd maybe not.

Jan 7th
#1 Middle Distance at Polebrook
#2 Multi-technical training at Surebridge

Jan 8th
#1 Middle at Surebridge
Then I have my flight at 6 p.m.

Should I post this in a forum or email it?

Sounds like fun, Greg! Thanks for the invite - alas, we're headed south to visit some parks on the way to GNC, so we'll miss out this time. This just turned out to be a good couple days to do some map updates, since I'm not sure when we'll be on the east coast again!

I recommend posting. Lots of good orienteers around here that may come out to play. You may get some cadets if they have a weekend that allows getting out and about - there are a number that end up in Harriman any time they can escape. Hansolo is the senior in charge, also an applicant for the National Team this year.

Cold today, but absolutely beautiful. I got to break out into the terrain a bit and it was wonderful!!

Mmmm, blueberries! Well, at least you don't have the leaves blocking your view of deadfall in the berry bushes lying in ambush!
