Ricka:
The western 'blue' trail is still only "tapes on trees", I believe. The Blue trail will feature a canyon with high walls which I visited a couple times in 2015.

Over 90% of the eastern 'Red' trail has been roughed out by Aaron with his Ditch-witch (sp?) machine but it still needs a LOT of hand work -- we worked a short section that Aaron had not worked. With 20 years of experience, Aaron is extremely adept with his machine in terms of width, grades, etc. Like the conservation areas in the area (Labarque, Young, Glassberg), the trails are very muddy and slick when wet (like yesterday). A long stretch of the trail follows a stream with large [10+ m tall] sandstone bluffs carved by waters of eons ago. Another stretch follows an old road down a ridge. Once dried out, the trails should provide good hikes even before finished.

Not exactly sure when park will be officially opened to the public and the opening will be "soft" as much more work needs to be done.
