Beechworth is the perfect place to live as they have everything you need. They have a hospital, primary school, high school (maybe), university, bakery to work at and when you break the law you can go to prison.

Do they have a supermarket again? (The previous one burnt down a year or so back and everyone had to do food runs to Yackandandah or Wodonga).

I thought the uni campus had closed down, too? Still, if Beechworth has a pharmacy then I guess I'm set :)

don't forget the brewery. I decided before Christmas that we should move to Castlemaine for similar reasons. We were thinking of going to Forrest next weekend but Glen has expressed an interest in Yackandandah trails - worth a trip?

Yack trails are ok - not as exciting as some of the others nearby, but good if you want a ride where you're not feeling like you're going to get cheese gratered on a rock garden 1000 times. nice forest. We did the yellow trail but apparently the red trail is better. there are three loops about 90mins each.

Cool, I'll have a look. At the moment I'm trying to work out if we can go to nz to do the old ghost Road on Australia day weekend
