I busted a toe just before the 100k CCC. (Cracked first metatarsal on the big toe). The Hokas I had at the time had such a wide sole platform they protected the toe during the run.

True colesnotes, I'll settle for spinning and watching Netflix for now. Bent, that is amazing because I very much appreciate wider shoes...now if only my sock would slide with my foot into the shoe I would have any pain!

I chipped the medial (inside) part of my toe and it hurt every time I grazed something, so the boat-like Hoka sole was wider than my foot and protected it. Sounds like yours is a worse break.
