Got a cadence and/or speed sensor? Useful little tools. Cadence is handy to keep you spinning at the rate that the videos demand.
Try doing an FTP test on your turbo. GCN have a couple of videos on how to do it. You can work out heart rate training ranges afterwards.

My method is to count how many revs in 15 secs and then times it by 4. Keeps my mind off the pain!
