It hasn't been a big snow winter here. Our snowpack is still relatively thin. The biggest issue is some new trails that we put in this fall. Rough underneath, so there has been a lot of rock and dirt getting pulled up by the groomers. Anyway, race went really well and we had enough fresh snow to cover up all the dirty bits. Another dump on Sunday evening and we are not in great shape.

How did your club skiers do in Salt Lake?

Hi Nevin, we only had Thomas Hardy down there. He was really good in the distance races. 2nd Canadian U23 in the 30 km classic! Alternate for the Canadian team so he won't go to World's U23 Champs, but will go on a European B tour instead.

How's that crazy fast Junior Girl from a few years ago? Or was it Juvie girls she won, maybe skiing up an age?

You're probably thinking of Molly Miller, from Kimberley BC. She's still very strong, but not as dominant as she was 1-2 years ago. She's 2nd year Juvenile. Early developer, very talented, but as often happens, the late developers are catching up. Much like Dahria Beatty, who is still going strong.
