driving thru JB on way to rec center today, woods looked like they had been carpet bombed with nuclear hand grenades, there was so much deadfall. wonder if babler shared the same fate?
could be it was just accumulation I didn't notice before though...
Hmmm...not sure. Babler has sustained plenty of ice/storm damage over the years so maybe there won't be as much loose/dead stuff up in the branches to fall? The woods at my house have had very little damage (so far) and that is usually a pretty good barometer. I plan to head out to Babler tomorrow morning and will report back.
I didn't see much in the way of ice damage. Sure, there were down limbs, some of them large-ish, but nothing dramatic. The woods seemed pretty normal to me with the same tornado-ed sections from several years back. It sure was muddy and slippery though!
thats good news. thanks! I plan to attend - w a good attitude!
