Klepperton:
Dr. Hrkal's dad (Karl) was my geography teacher and Team Handball coach at Notre Dame in Brampton.

Karl was very involved in Team Handball Ontario and introduced the sport to our school when I was in Grade 9. He even started a (non-OFSAA sanctioned) Ontario High School Championship of 10-20 teams across the province...(which we won in Grade 12). He's a great man, and I believe he's been a Caledon East resident for years.

I remember Paul and his brother playing around on the sidelines as kids.

Small world.

Small world indeed!

Our Dr. Hrkal is Peter and that is probably the brother you remember. He was an Ontario all-star volleyball player for McMaster. Paul Hrkal is a naturopathic doctor in Toronto but I looked up their photos and they sure look like brothers to me. :)

Super nice guy. He attended one of Barrie Shepley's Tucson camps last winter and apparently he ended up fixing injured people and prescribing exercises. He and Barrie got chatting about an injury prevention class rather than waiting for injuries to occur. He doesn't normally teach group classes like this so it's a learning curve but I think it's working well.
