Also, KT tape is fabulous. When IT band pain hit me hard the week before a half-marathon, I stopped running, did a lot of stretching etc, and then taped up for the race. I ran it without any pain and ran it well.
YMMV, of course ...

Great link, Coach - I'm doing a lot of these for hip/sciatica issues, but I learned a few new variations. Adding this to my bookmarked videos.

Two stretches for IT bands I love:
Cow Face Pose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLXKH38oqwE
Seated Pyramid (here shown as Fire Logs Pose): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn3BZLjC5HM

For those who like exercise videos, a gait therapist recommended the Beach Body Brazilian Butt Lift. Yes, it's a bikini-season set of workouts, but actually gets after a lot of the core/glute muscle groups that are good for runners. I'll be pulling mine out of storage to keep me entertained for what should be a snowy February. Hope to come out the other end pain free. Loving the KT tape as well.

Good luck!
