Looking at the amount of green on the map, pretty hard to set decent courses. I had the choice to plan, but went with organising instead. But you know those "pointless" running legs are really just the planners way of getting you to run harder & switch off, before putting you in tricky detail at the end.

Arguably there is never a pointless control on a course, bc it will have some impact on you as a competitor, regardless - won't it? (That said, I whinge about pointless & gratuitous climb controls all the time)

Thanks for the feed back Sher, It might not have sounded like it but I did enjoy the day and I liked the idea of it being a tough cold hard race. I was just trying to say that the course didn't need that control so it would have been better without it.
