ebone: Has anyone been in contact with Gale Teschendorf lately? I've tried contacting him unsuccessfully.

Boojums: Is this unusual? All my attempts at contacting him in the past were unsuccessful. I just assumed he didn't really want to sell my anything.

wilsmith: I haven't been in touch with him lately, but I would say that when I have shopped from him, I've been very satisfied with the prices, the shipping, and the items I received. Maybe he's just away for a bit?

chitownclark: Gale ran and then sold O gear from his booth at the Big Blues Ramble A-meet this weekend...very nice display and selection of equipment and clothing. I spoke with him briefly today.

He is a one-man operation and has a day job. He suggests on his direct phone line {(847) 293-4253} that you try to reach him before 8am CST.

JanetT: He's much more reachable at an event where he's selling, than by phone or e-mail, I've found.

ebone: Thanks, everyone. I'll try calling again...early in the morning...zzzz. Wil, I too have been satisfied with Gale's O in the past, but now I want to be satisfied again. I guess I'm insatiable.

ebuckley: I like Gale, I like the stuff he sells, and I like the price he sells at but I've given up trying to order anything from him. I just buy from him at meets. As Clark noted, he is alive, well, and made an appearance at the Big Blues Ramble.

Boojums: I've also had plenty of positive experiences when purchasing in person, it's just the trying to order part that's just never worked.

barb: Maybe we could set up a whole online business where someone buys for all of us at A meets and then ships the stuff to those of us who weren't able to make that A meet.

tdgood: Gale was at the Chicago meet this last weekend. He said something about loosing all his email. If you emailed him I would try again.
From personal experience, you have to keep on him to get the stuff shipped. He tends to forget/put off the actual shipping part.

GoOrienteering: Hi, Gale here. Yes, I am alive.

Yes, I lost all my email when my computer crashed a week ago. I am going to Vista and need all new software. My accounting program arrived yesterday and I expect to have my credit card processing back online in 24 hours.

For the last 3 months I have been working 6 days a week at other things and have fallen behind in Go Orienteering orders. This Sunday I drop down to 5 days per week, yeah! Since I can cut and paste emails, that is where I start. I can answer emails at work but I can not answer my phone at work.

I am sorry for any inconvience I may have caused.

ebone: Okay, I resent my e-mail order. Thanks!

#  Posted 2007-10-26 02:49:25
Ricka: "resent" - Which meaning was intended?

#  Posted 2007-10-26 22:35:35
ebone: Um, good point. That's "re-sent".
