Has there ever been an adventure race here?...or has anyone done legwork/attempted to hold a race?

For those who don't know of it...

It's a spectacular archipelago in the middle of the Gulf of the St. Lawrence linked together by sand dunes.

The potential for a unique multi-discipline race is limitless.

It's a bit of a boot to get to (if you don't fly), but absolutely worth it.

I've visited twice. It's probably my favourite place in Canada due to its unique culture, amazing food, plethora of outdoor activities, and killer beaches...(best in Canada, IMO).

To truly soak it up, summer is best...but most Québécois know this too, so book WELL ahead!

Anyhow, didn't mean to turn this into a travel advertisement...

I have base maps of almost every sq. km of the archipelago which I have to dig up...and I'll post some images for those who are interested. I showed up to the municipal office on my first trip there, and I believe they gave them to me for free!!! They're dynamite...better than any provincial data I've seen.
