You would have been pretty quick on the fattie. I had the snowshoe laps at 3.5k, not 4. How's your leg after?

I measured the lap at 3.55K on my Ambit.

I had to change into dry clothes quickly to avoid getting cold, and I was sorry to miss you post-race!

Yes 'Bent, the conditions were great for the fattie. Even the soft spots were I saw a few passes were in better shape than I usually ride. I think I would have done the 4 laps slightly over an hour.

My legs weren't bad after I finished snowshoeing. The 10 days straight on the trainer is catching up to them though. The chalet was a bit crowded for me to find a spot to elevate them.

Bash: I had my dry shirt in the car and once I got there decided to bail. I might have learned to bring stuff in like I saw most other participants doing.

I thought of leaving my bag locked safely in the car but then I imagined how nice it would be to dash downstairs to change as soon as I got inside. So I carried my phone, hid my valuables in the car (sshh!) and brought everything else in.

I didn't even go so far as to have a bag. I just tossed a shirt on the passenger seat. I could have turned the seat warmer on and sat on it before putting it on, but I've grown adverse to even seconds with the engine running unnecessarily.

I have my Adventurebag that goes to all the sport events.
Full of spare clothes, first aid, sunglasses etc.
