Deep massage. Pain. Nothing else will do it from what I am reading... ugh.
From the Lore of Running...
"nothing, not even the runner's toughest ever race is as painful as cross-frictions applied to a chronic muscle tear".

Have come thru a hamstring niggle. Nothing for a couple of weeks except walking and MTBing, then 3-day orienteering at a walk (steep rough country), then 17hrs of a rogaine. Mind you I haven't run since the rogaine, but it FEELS good.

You are fortunate to be able to contemplate a rogaine. I have had two weeks rest (walking and MTB) and it remains. So I stop resting. My back will seize up if I don't move.
