30 km of skating without retracing your tracks? Did they really groom 100km? Get the remainder tomorrow? :)
I'm afraid I can't get out skiing this year. All my crappy gear is busted and with only 2cm of snowfall this season there hasn't been any motivation to replace it. Will probably use the old, de-laminated nowax skis to hold up deer fencing. The roses are pruned, the (over"wintered") brussels sprouts transplanted so they don't crowd the garlic, and the onion seedlings arrive in 2 weeks. They're forecasting 75F here tomorrow - first day of March.
100k sounds like a stretch. There might be 15-20 out there that I didn't hit, plus another 15-20 they haven't groomed yet. This week plus next is probably the longest dry spell we've had since xmas, so there are trails they haven't had a chance to even attempt to build yet (some require a lot of snow pushing to get open).
We're still a couple feet away from the garden here. Not sure how spring really happens down here (new house is down at 6k'), but I'd guess we'll be free of the snow pack by April. Frosts don't stop until July or August though...
