You ran 7:31 and I ran 10:17 and with the wind I felt I had done well and that I was tired but can't explain away 2:45 faster...okay I was hauling a 100lb knapsack but whose counting that?

Holy smoly Batgirl that is pretty fast. I'm not sure I can run a 7:31 mile right now or much faster I managed one.

I will have to refuse to have my spirit crushed and just use this as motivation.

6:49....at the end of 7 miler. Koski you need to run a quick race time off some of these great workouts....shoot for the senior Olympics or whereever Kathi ran that one time...

Thanks... yeah, I've been feeling good. No injuries lately (KNOCK ON WOOD!!)
I have an issue with atrial fibrillation when I race so I need to deal with that. 220 heart rate for a mile or two doesn't help.

Yep I really am thankful for where I'm at and getting some 4 and 5 mile runs below 9 min pace...I am jealous and intimidated but motivated too...but I also want to at least maintain what I have...I have a good routine of walking twice a week and running less on Tuesday so I get to rest from about 7:30 Sunday until actually about 5 Thursday and then I 'hit it' Thursday - Sunday... The 100's are helping too....keep it up...maybe a better warmup before a race? That's like my stupid wobbly right leg that takes .25 to 2 miles to warmup sometimes...once I get going I end up running fast at the end...
