Mine's been going the past 14 months okay although the unit itself (Forerunner 310XT) carked it on the weekend and I'm up for my second refurbished model now.

yeah my strap started to break where the plastic is connected to the strap itself around the 6-8month mark from memory but that didnt concern me too much but now the right pad which I presume measures the beat is lifting away from the rest of the plastic and is about 50% off now. at about the 15 month mark. but I dont use it as much as you would and i take reasonably good care of it hence the disappointment.

Garmin: I am just in the process of sending in my third Fenix2, with the lastest one lasting less than a week before giving me grief...
The HR strap however is still going strong and I've had that for 7+ years (from my old 305).

I've got a HR strap you can have if you wanna come to Gero to get it. I hardly ever used it, and now have wrist-based HR monitor. Yay.

I've got and old strap from 910 and swimming one for 920 so all good there thanks. More annoyed that the straps falling apart when it shouldnt
