no, actually, it was to wake ME up. :) I was basically ready to get out the door at 9am and then somehow managed to piddle around looking for running gear and didn't get out till 9:30, then had to greet at church by 10:15am so had to cut the run short. duh.

btw, following Colin McCourt, the former elite who ballooned up to 200+ lbs then made a bet with his buddies he could run a sub 16 5K by years end or get all their names tatooed on his body. Oh boy, the poor guy is getting sick, has a newborn baby to care for, who is teething and keeping him up all night, looks terrible. His morning workout is about 4-6 miles and running about 7:00 pace and throwing in a 6:44 for the last mile. He has to get down to 5:08. Personally, I think he is gonna have to get the tatoos! but I am secretly pulling for him. an overweight runner asked him whether he should focus on weight loss or speed work and of course Colin replied "weight loss" first, so that is good news I'm focusing on the right thing . . . not rocket science, duh . . . bh

colinmccourt@jamesrgordon losing weight definitely! As you get lighter you will get faster!

ask him why he does 2 runs a day. ask him what his weekly mileage is. ask if he thinks running is an important part of his weight loss program.
