Well not ready to pound the shit out of it, but tired of not running. Maybe Hoka's for my long runs.

That's what the orthotics do that fixed it for me. I had it for 3 years and so did Dusty. Toivo were you right in with that timeline as well? I found stretching and resting it would make it seem better, but it would just come back with hard or long runs.

Are you talking PF or Achilles?

He says PF, Lesli.
Gramps, I had it in each foot consecutively...for a total of 3 years. about 18 months each foot. But, not to be too discouraging, I've known people to get over it in a couple of months. Keep those calves stretched!!!!

Just saying being proactive seems to be the most effective.

My arches are always threatening to be a problem, I just dread buying new shoes or orthotics if I don't know for sure it will help! I'll probably change nothing and just keep whining...good to know that orthotics helped with that specific issue when nothing else did - thanks!

Again, you won't regret trying Hokas. As we walked out of the cafe today, post-run, Bam Bam said that Hokas almost surely saved him from hangin' it up. His feet were BAD, as were mine.
But, whining is fun too.

Have had orthotics since for over 20 years - many of them. My problem is the surgery on my right foot went bad and I am just fortunate to run.
