My weight is always up after an ultra but I think it's more about the long run than the food I eat afterward. I don't eat nearly enough on race day to outweigh (haha!) the impact of all that exercise, even with a day of splurging afterward. Like you, a couple of days after the run, I'll have at least one night with multiple trips to the loo. A friend asked me if I drink excessively during races but alas, that is definitely not it. I'm not sure what the biological mechanism is but I'd guess it's similar to the edema people get (e.g. "cankles") after long ARs.
Yep, I was thinking along the lines of the cankle theory too.
I think your conscience would be lighter if you write up your run report. I promise I'll read it by the fire with a big morning coffee, so I'll gain a little liquid weight.
That buffet dinner was soooo good! :)
I'm waiting for the buffet trip report... FKT maybe? Wait who am I kidding about you setting an FKT at the buffet;)
Can't talk about the buffet record until the judges tell me it is official...
Yes, will get the run report done :)
The first rule of Buffet Club is... Don't Talk About Buffet Club!!
I am serious though... which buffet did you hit? Bellagio? Caesar's?
We stayed and ate at Circus Circus:)
Good to get the info. We're going there soon!
Yes, and we still need to choose a buffet! :) Our main destination is Zion National Park and surrounding area.
