Gutted you had a rubbish journey home... hope to see you at Hambelden. I'm thinking about what course to do - not sure 9K ahead of JK is that sensible. Might run Blue or even Green!!

Yeah - the drive back was epic. Think i'll do the short brown - 8.7km? - should be OK! :)

Similar dilemma in Yorkshire. Do I go to Pickering (one of the roughest, steepest forests in N Yorks) the week before JK?

That's a bigger dilemma. At least Hambledon is runnable & not too steep - though physical; perfect short brown i reckon, pre-JK.

Just routegadgetted yesterday. There's only one word to describe my performance - shit. Long way to go..... never mind! the last 2 midlands (3rd; 2nd) I was a different beast.

But your run was exemplary Chas. Well done again. I wish i could have run my race with no distractions (Steve D early on, which was awful, then of course Rob catching me), but i can only blame myself for my mediocrity. Others fared even worse, mind. Particularly in the M45 class (apart from Ifor from BOK who hasn't beaten me in about 6 years!)

Thanks. I need to be exemplary to beat Mr Peel.

Agreed. Can you do it again!?!?! :)

Scrappy Doo:
And Mr Ward seems to be doing ok now he has moved up to M50 ..... what is it about reaching that age group? do people find time to train again (other than Clive - who just doesn't bother whether he has time or not)?

Ifor must be starting his training early for his assault on M50 next year (along with many others who go up!)

I am always fitter at this time of year after the night O season.
