Sounds like a fantastic series of events. Glad you'd already been orienteering even though it's flat etc etc. We have Belford on 9 April. We also used to have Heatherbrae map which was flat and just pine forest - count the rows etc.
summer coming up for you so more events plus ... you could go to O-ringen!!!! The French events too, and yes I know you have to go to work in between.

these fortresses look a bit more impressive than Fort Scratchley, but some of the other maps look a bit flat.

The full map is so much more than those little snippets on that link.

To go from the other very plain maps with minimal features, to this level of detail was very impressive.
