do intervals, it helps the boredom and gets you really fit. probably only session better is running ints tbh

Yeah, the only way I can do stationary bike is in a spin class where they yell at you to do intervals... it does feel like a good workout.

I read lots of magazines while stationary biking when I had both a stress fracture and a broken arm at the same time...only time I've ever been up to date on celebrity gossip...

My one extended period with a stationary bike was after my arm came off second best in an altercation with some Auckland concrete at Oceania 2005 (I note that we'll be returning to the scene of the incident next Friday). At one point the Australian Open was on and I decided I'd keep riding until the end of the match - this meant a particularly long session because it ended up going to something like 16-14 in the final set...
