I used to rogaine with Ted. Had to let him go on to greater things with a different team. Reminder - walking may not be that much of a handicap in Woodhill, if you can use the opportunity to read the map more.

I once rogained with Ted. It was a six hour. His regular partner was ill and so he had to hunt a team to join. We was it. I saw a lot of Ted's back for the six hours. It was the second hardest rogaine effort of my short rogaining career. The other was with a much younger rogainer who was running 2:50 marathons at the time. Never have I felt so spent as after that one.

My worst effort was with the late Jim lngham, English fell runner. We ran up and down the Dandenongs 3 times (instead of contouring). With 30 min and 10 km to go, he was still confident we would make it (if we ran really fast).
Of course we didn't and were 30 mins late and disqualified. I couldn't even touch my skin for days afterwards.
He is one of my 10 former regaining partners (out of 13) who are no more. Probably explains why no-one wants to go with me.

Don't take it personally if I don't want to go rogaining with you. I don't want to go rogaining at all these days. I know various tendons wouldn't last.

PrueD - that is an "impressive" record for rogaining partners.

No she said regaining so I imagine they were consuming it rather than rubbing it on their heads.

Auto-correct is a most annoying thing. But at least you made me laugh.
