Do you guys wear wetsuits ? Or do you go out in only very calm conditions. I would be afraid of being in the very cold water .

Hi! I was wearing wetsuit pants. And of course a PFD. It was like glass out there, incredible! Of course there is always the possibility of capsizing, even in ideal conditions (like if someone has a stroke or heart attack).

PS: Btw last summer's storm + buckthorn removal has destroyed the O course at Hartley : (

Yes, I heard about Hartley and got in contact with them . They seemed overwhelmed at the time so maybe you can find out if they want to revive it . I am setting the Sept MNOC event at Jay Cooke and expect to be up in Duluth a few times this summer and I can stop in to revive the map and POC if they want it

Thanks for doing that! (checking in with them). I will talk to Tom about it. I didn't know there would be an event at Jay Cooke in Sept! Guess I need to check the MNOC website. Although in Sept I'll be guiding a trip in the Dolomites and then on the SHT. I may make it to the William OBrien meet. I'll be in Spain & Portugal April 17-30, mostly working, but I might get to check out a permanent O course in Spain.
