Now I'm no training coach but I would have thought intervals on a Monday was pointless. Most folk are knackered on a Monday after the weekend so what good could flogging yourself around a track do? Is the session well attended? Maybe you could suggest they move it to a Tuesday?
The club have looked at changing the Monday intervals to Tuesdays, but most of the members were against this as they want an easy run on Tuesday, a long run on Wednesday, then a track session on Thursday. As I lead the senior runners I try and get there as often as possible, but do run as I feel, which is often slow on the Monday as I'm tired after a Sunday race.
