Sadly someone on a beginner course actually mispunched on that control on the other side of the building and I had to secretly reinstate them...

Of course we did have "a few" too many hiccups today. Like the two cases of codes on the descriptions not matching what was actually out there in the forest. Or the control that had to be moved after pre running where the flag had been hung on one tiny unmapped cliff in the green, the marker where the planner thought it should be was on another small unmapped cliff in the green and the actual cliff in the green that was on the map probably wasn't a very suitable control location to begin with. Or the 10-20 runners who where disqualified because they punched the control on the wrong boulder that was 30m from the boulder with their correct control - and the control they punched on wasn't even in use today!

So yes, good choice not running today. At least it can't get any worse tomorrow. Right? Anyway, good luck...

It was a bit of a shambles yep. On the bright side, it was sunny in the prize handing out tent, and the kids were all so happy to get shoe bags!
I'm guessing the finish tent was a bit more stressful...good luck today!
