Thank you, Boris :-). Boris, I was thinking about your suggestion to attract people who already orienteer to my training meets (for example, by consulting with Greg Walker on this). I'm not sure if that's such a good idea right now. I am the only person organizing these meets and they are geared to gently introduce folks who have never done orienteering to the sport. They are not at the level that practicing orienteers are used to. Most legs go across grass fields between trail junctions and control markers are tent pegs with pink streamers. My long-term plan is to get a group interested enough that they travel with me to one of the LAOC meets (or even farther, depending on what the meet is and how interested they get). What do you think?
