Joe:
sucks doesn't it? all boils down to the instructions given, which in my opinion, were not clear, but gave the impression that the parkway was off limits regardless of location/direction. I too, enjoyed the paddle/portages. my arms were rubber by the end.

Yea, without doubt had I had the instruction sheet I would have assumed that I needed to cross under. Despite not having the instructions during the race (they were dropped on the trail somewhere) I accept all responsiblity since I should have read the instructions closer before the race. I'm not terribly upset about it. I think being DQd for soething that was unintensional is a bit harsh, especially since we gained nothing from it. I just feel bad for letting down the team. It can be hard being the navigator on the team since you are often really the only person on the team that can make a costly mistake.

On a positive note I feel myself getting better and more comfortale as a navigator, especially in the longer races. I feel much more in control and far less apt to panic these days.

What are your plans for FL? I havn't heard the latest.
