Yep enough so it's sweet and has adequate calories needed - bit of an experimentation. I usually have another bottle of just water as well to rinse mouth out, common hygiene practice when consuming lots of sugar. I also take more in a cliplock bag and refuel when needed along the way, super simple. Substituting it for Tailwind that's pricey for me as a student and i reckon sugar water essentially has the same function as most sportdrinks anyways (carbs/simple sugar). Works very well cycling, no bonking and only take Clifbars for satiation. Suppose would work for running but haven't tried. No harm in trying it out.

What i use currently: http://shop.coles.com.au/online/mobile/national/co... This one dissolves well and tastes better than standard raw sugar.
