Can it handle bulk entries in some manner? Our main challenge is dealing with schools who sometimes have 40+ kids. Thus, our home grown solution has a spreadsheet looking page for group leaders to enter everyone's information at once. It also focusses on need-to-know info for the group and doesn't bother with contact info for every single kid.
I understand Eventor will probably work for many clubs. However, I need to find a system that could replace our home grown solution. The latter is holding us back in some ways. However, at this point, I can see no other way to move forward than to tell our group leaders that they have to go through a full entry process for every single kid. Ugh. Not good customer service.
I'm certainly not saying others shouldn't or couldn't move forward with solutions that fit their needs. I would simply love for someone to tell me NTOA has some other options.
Does Eventor remember previous entries? That might do it for us. Even if the group leader has to enter a bunch of info per kid, if they only ever have to do it once per kid, then that's a big help right there.
For normal events everyone registering needs an account and that account has your name, sex, DOB, club, e-punch number, etc. all saved in the system. All someone has to do to register themselves is to log in, click "sign up", and select which age group they want to run for that race. You can also register other people in your club at the same time. So, I believe that means that a group leader could just select each kid and assign them an age group and that's it. Seems a lot faster than filling in a spreadsheet.
Disclaimer: that's how it works in Norway where we don't pay using Eventor (our club pays, then we pay the club at the end of the year). Australia has payments with Eventor so that much is already possible, so presumably you can do the bulk register thing and also pay for it, but I don't know.
Here I am pretending to register multiple clubmates for an Oslo City Cup.
Thanks. We need to take a look at this. It would, I hope, dramatically reduce the time needed to set up registration for each event (less volunteer effort) and then allow our webpage to to evolve to something more modern (hopefully requiring less volunteer effort).
