Famous Fremont Landmarks:
Center of the Universe: It's on the traffic island in the out-of-bounds road between #7 and #8.
Fremont Rocket: It's 53 feet tall! It's the statue symbol between #8 and #9.
Fremont Dinosaurs: You're rubbing shoulders with them at #12.
Theo Chocolate Factory. It's the building to the west of aromatic checkpoint #11. This is where the SART prizes come from.
Aurora Bridge: Checkpoints #1, #19, and #20 are directly under the span of the bridge, with #20 being on one of the giant bridge supports.
Fremont Bridge: You had to go under the bridge from #3 to #4 and #16 to #17.
Waiting for the Interurban: It's the mapped canopy on the traffic island NW of #22.
JP Patches Statue: It's the mapped statue between #2 and #22.
Sri Chinmoy (spiritual leader and founder of the
world's longest race) Statue: It's the mapped statue southwest of #20.
Unfortunately, the two most famous Fremont landmarks are north of the out-of-bounds. The 7-ton
statue of Vladimir Lenin is where the "8" is printed for #8. The
Fremont Troll is under the Aurora Bridge. The north-south road between #1 and #2 is Troll Ave, which ends two blocks north at the Troll.
