Looking at your track I wonder if the top of the hill would be nice to run on, and whether using the top would ever happen given that it seems you'd have to have a very long walk to the start in order to use it (assuming coming up the other side from the road isn't possible... maybe it is?)
I don't know about access/parking. The map seems to show it getting greener (mountain laurel) the higher you go, so that might be a drag. And there's the deadfall issue as well. Nancy talked with Kathleen Lennon for a bit, and I think she said that they had taken a look at this park and decided that it wasn't worth doing anything with, in part because it's nearly impossible to set anything but advanced courses, thanks to the total lack of handrails. Jon Torrance was able to put this meet together with a minimum of investment, so it worked out okay, but it remains to be seen if that will drum up any enthusiasm for the area -- the unseasonably warm day couldn't have helped.
