I'm originally from Kansas City, so I didn't spend much time in Wichita until two month-long trips in 2013.
When I was there, I made two orienteering-related things:
Wichita 'Hood Hunt
. It's urban orienteering with trivia checkpoints. It's been four years, but I suspect that most of the locations are still there, since I used a lot of plaques, artwork, etc (ie: not random things in people's yards like I used for similar events in Seattle).
A 1:2500 scale (and 2-foot contours!) sprint-ish map of Harrison Park. It was near my hotel and it was my first attempt at making a map in Open Orienteering Mapper. At the time, there was a brand new Orienteering Wichita Facebook page and I gave them the map, but the page is gone now. If you're interested, I'll email a PDF of it to you.
