Also I would like you to delete the word "disasterous" from the top of your log. This is a massive achievement, it might not have gone to plan but in no way is is a disaster.

Spot on Clare. Well done Richard. I am certainly no expert in these mega long events, but what I have observed over the years is that nobody does as well as they would like at their first few attempts at things like this. Takes years to build up the stamina and experience.

I would say this was a pretty awesome effort. There are not many people who could even contemplate this sort of thing, let alone completing it... it's mind over body I believe (as well as all that hard training you have done) and in just doing this I say.... bloody well done!!
