i have found phase 3 unadulterated too difficult. Sounds wimpy, but those I sessions somehow were too much like races and by the time races came around, hard to feel fresh. that was just one try, maybe i ought to give it another go.
as I recall, I got injured about 3 weeks into Phase 3 last year and had to restart Phase 2 . . . plus I have no running base going into it this year, just cycling, fine now, but not sure I can handle 3 Q workouts per week. I guess I'll try it, not like I have any big races on the horizon, just Macklind.
ps--looked at Phase 3 workouts, might cut them to 75% or 2/3 of the number of reps, eg. instead of 16x200m, do 12x200 or something. most of the reps are multiples of 4. so could do 3 instead of 4.
16! wow. might not be as hard as it looks though since its probably at a reduced pace. hey, 12 200's sounds great to me:) yeah, lets not kill ourselves, then if we feel strong we can build up to more reps eventually.
