This is my own opinion.
It seems that you're suggesting that the fact that the committee selected me on petition means that I'm lacking commitment and honest personal effort.
Personally, I'm no longer concerned about your opinions on Attackpoint after seeing how you've behaved over the past few years. But I would like to maintain a positive environment for the team and community.
Posts like the one you just wrote don't help Team USA improve. So, I'd like to ask you to please stop the indirect personal attacks.
To leave it clear on my part, I didn't go to the Trials because I wanted to save my own money and OUSA's budget if they decided to pay for it. I'm absolutely willing to put it on the line, but saving ~$1,000 which I can later invest in training camps convinced me that my best option would be to not go.
If you have any concerns about my commitment and honest effort, please review my log. I think you'll be reassured.
Greg--relax dude. You are the US Champ, the North American Champ, an automatic selection for the WOC team, the number one ranked orienteer in the country and the list goes on. No one could possibly question your place on the US Team. Don't get a big head, but hold it high. You deserve it.
I'm Greg's coach. I've never met a more committed orienteering athlete. Greg deserves every opportunity that comes his way, thanks to the dedication that he puts into his development as an international orienteer, and due to his exceptional results over the last 9 months.
