Road running is hard, nothing more to say about that. Use the elevator with pride, in fact, wheel around all day in your office chair.

Next time head back to the trails - maybe a 50K? With your speed, you'd do soooo well and the trails don't hurt nearly as much!

Thanks all. @Wes I should have been faster, but as the wheels fell off it was pure survival! Shoulda done a few long road runs beforehand, muscles were not used to that pounding, legs were in agony at the half mark!

Achilles were/are fine but calfs were screaming probably partly due to the shoes and my lack of real road distance in them.
