I was hoping you and Paul would be able to get a long ride in this weekend. Today was our last chance to get something in too. Middy had to work a bit today and we couldn't get out until noon. 70 miles is all we could squeeze in. DK will be here before we know it. Ready or not :)

11 mph is our "meet the cut-offs* speed. So towing at that speed would be like water skiing behind a canoe :)
We need to do some night riding yet to test Paul's helmet light as I expect we will have 5+ hours in total darkness in Kansas.
And if we can't get another 100+ miler in, we will do a set of back-to-back 50-70 milers.
Despite our training efforts ahead of time, if it is raining/muddy in Kansas, I'm screwed. Carrying my bike for 5 miles at barely 2 mph wrecks my average speed.
What have we gotten ourselves into?????
