I do it usually at least once during an event, sometimes on really short legs. Yesterday was 18-19 where I thought I was going straight at it but ended up on the track further east.
I must have almost tripped over #16 at least twice (according to TBT) before I eventually found it but Andre was already off in the distance by then.
I also drifted right on the leg to #19, very similar to you. Your change of direction to #17 is impressive too.
Yeah I don't know what was going on there. I think I hit that scattered clearing and decided it was the one NE of the control. I think I only found that CP because I caught up with David McCauley and he kind of fumbled around a bit and then went to it so I followed him. I thought I'd seen him earlier in the course so was wondering what he was doing next to me again but then I did stuff up #16 quite badly and I can't remember exactly how much earlier I'd seen him (it may have been #14).
